What about your mail? We researched what sailors use when they go off for 6 month or a year. The service most used and liked was SBI. We forwarded all of our mail to this service. They send an email when we get a piece of mail. On the website, the envelopes’ scanned images are displayed so we can see what has come in. Colin decides what to do with the mail. The choices are: Throw away, Save to Mail, Open and rescan. After scanning the 1st page of the mail, another picture is available for Colin to review. Again, he can: Throw away or Save to Mail. When we arrive at a town that we know we will be in for 3-4 days, via the website, we tell SBI to send all of the mail (it’s in one envelope) at this, XX location. We would have researched which UPS, Kinkos, or FedEx office we’d like to use for pickup. 2 days after the OK to ship mail, it arrives.
What about your bills? Colin has set up electronic banking for almost all of the accounts. The few that are not available online, we carry the checkbook with us to send via the USPS.
Can you just pull over anywhere? Parks vs. Commercial campsites vs. Walmart
